The STAR Method for Interview Questions
The STAR method works well for any interview question that involves telling a story, for example – “tell me about a time when you…” The key components are below, but Novoresume’s site does a great job of explaining it in depth.
- Situation: Set the scene and give the necessary details of your example.
- Task: Describe what your responsibility was in that situation.
- Action: Explain exactly what steps you took to address it.
- Result: Share what outcomes your actions achieved.
